 Federal Stimulus Program

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is an effort to jumpstart the economy by saving and creating jobs. ARRA will be transparent and accountable so citizens know how, when, and where their tax dollars are spent. A National Recovery Board will eliminate waste and inefficiency.

Citizens can monitor the recovery effort through recovery.gov, which features information on how ARRA works, tools to ensure government accountability, and current financial reports. Federal agencies will detail their funding distributions, while recipients will specify how they spending the funds. The site features projections for how, when, and where the funds will be spent and which states/sectors of the economy are due to receive what proportion of the funds.
